Hey guys Martin here from mattress Clarity if you're trying to decide Between the sofa and winkbed mattresses You have come to the right video today I'm going to compare both those Mattresses I'm going to talk about their Similarities their differences and help You choose one over the other let's get Started [Music] Before we hop in I want to know it Receives some of these mattresses for Free from Brands we may earn a Commission if you decide to purchase Them this helps keep this content free For you it helps fund our testing Operations So start off with off by talking about The similarities between both these Mattresses and first off they both come In multiple firmness options and today We're taking a look at the luxury for Models of both mattresses now with these Luxury firm models they are both medium Firm mattresses they have the exact same Firmness they are both responsive Mattresses and they both feature coils And on top a plush pillow top and now Let's take a look at the differences and First off the winkbed is going to cost Less than the saatva mattress but the Sofa mattress comes in two heights the Winkbed only comes in one height and Lastly they do feature some very similar
Constructions but there are some Different materials in those designs So now let's talk about the Constructions of both these mattresses Starting off on top and then working our Way down so first off on top of the top Of a mattress an organic cotton cover Very thin and breathable and soft now Over on the weight bed mattress a Tensile cover this is going to be Moisture wicking and help with heat Dissipation now moving down to the Comfort layers on the sofa mattress Quilted into the cover is some soft foam For some plushness right on top of the Mattress there's also some memory foam Near the top for more pressure relief And to make it firmer towards the center Of the mattress for extra lumbar Supports moving over to the winkbed Mattress also quilted into that top Cover you're going to have some soft Pressure leaving gel infused foam and Some more foam layers beneath that now Moving down to the support layers now With the sloppa mattress you have two Sets of coils so a top set of kind of Micro coils and beneath that some more Supportive coils there's going to be Some zoning in those coils so it's Firmer towards the center of the Mattress for again extra lumbar supports And over on the wink bed mattress you Have one set of coils very tall and
Supportive and zoned as well And now let's talk firmness and feel and First off in terms of firmness with the Saatva close to a 7 out of 10 and with The wig bed also close to a 7 out of 10. It's a little bit firmer than medium Firm so definitely has a good balance of Comfort and support but again if you Want something firmer or softer take a Look at their other models Foreign And now let's talk sleeping position Starting off with the saatva mattress so On my back a great match for me again This is the luxury for a model good Balance of comfort and support my hip Sinking just the right amount good Lumbar support and good overall support As well moving to my side I'm putting a Little bit of pressure on my shoulders And my hips but again it's the luxury For a model I think if you are a side Sleeper take a look at the softer model Moving to my stomach while it is a Medium firm mattress not quite Supportive enough for me on my stomach My hips are blowing in a little bit and I'm getting out of alignments I think Stomach sleepers should definitely take A look at the firmer model now moving Over to the wink bed mattress on my back Also a great match for me with the Zoning good lumbar support and great Overall support a bit of contouring from
The top layers as well moving to my side Better pressure relief on my shoulders And my hips and I fell over on the sofa But still I think if you sleep just on Your side take a look at one of the Softer models moving to my stomach also Again not supportive enough for me under My hips are blowing in a little bit I'm Getting out of alignment but you have Firmer models to choose from Thank you If you sleep with a partner there's two More things you want to think about Motion transfer and Edge support now Motion transfer means if you're lying Down on one side of the mattress and Your partner knows around on their side Of the mattress are you going to feel That on your side of the mattress and Edge support means if you're sitting or Lying down near the edge of the mattress Do you feel secure like you're going to Roll off and onto the floor so first off Speaking of motion transfer neither Handle it particularly well they're more Bouncy mattresses they do feature some Memory foam in their constructions but Really doesn't cut down on too much of That motion transfer so between the two The wink beds does win out but I think If you're just looking for something With motion transfer I would look Elsewhere but speaking of edge support They both have excellent Edge support I
Feel very secure sitting and lying down To the edge of both these mattresses in That respect both good mattresses for Couples And now let's talk pricing and at full Price for a queen-size saatva mattress Close to two thousand dollars and with The winkbed mattress close to eighteen Hundred dollars but we have some great Deals here at mattressclarity.com you'll Find them in the YouTube description Below and over on our website and now The moment you've all been waiting for Which mattress should you get now first Off taking a look at the sofa it's Better I think if you want height Options you have an 11 and a half inch Model and a 14 and a half inch model It's also better option I think for Light and medium weight back sleepers It's very supportive but not quite as Supportive I think as the winkbed Mattress now taking a look at the Winkbed mattress I think being more Supportive it is a better option I think For heavier people and also hot sleepers As well with a gel infusion near the top And some tall coils shouldn't be Sleeping hot on this mattress at this Point you should know which mattress is Right for you but if you want for Information head over to Mattressclair.com for the full written Reviews and some great money saving
